I have a secret love. Movies.

I've been having this love (/hate) affair for as long as I can remember, perhaps even longer than I've been involved with music. I first caught the bug in 1977/78 aged 6 witnessing the emergence of the modern blockbuster, and the start of a long running Sci-Fi/Fantasy saga called Star Wars...

When I made the decision during my teenage years to dedicate my life to my musical side, I always knew that somehow, someday I'd find a way to indulge in my other great obsession - the big screen.

Here in this regular Blog, I will attempt to balance that passion along with my musical career (my day job if you will), and my own personal take on the words; 'Movie Critic'.

I never majored in Media Studies, I don't have a degree in Film & Television Arts, Hell I barely scraped through my final years of High School! But what I do have, is an opinion. Everyone does. Whether it's about music, film, politics, religion or even well, the weather. If one goes through life without a personal view on anything, then what are you actually experiencing?

Today, expressing ones thoughts has become (some might say unfortunately so) incredibly easy through the use of Social Media. Something the majority of us, regardless of age, are quite well acquainted with. Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok have all become a part of our daily lives and conversations. So much so that we can hardly bare to be without them.

Opinion it seems has almost become a form of currency. My hope is that you'll make me rich... simply by agreeing with mine!
